Ko/Shin Building Momentum for World Championships Title Defense

Having been through an injury-plagued first half of the season, Team VICTOR’s Ko Sung Hyun and Shin Baek Choel make a strong statement with a win at the Indonesia Open Superseries Premier, the last major event heading into this year’s World Championships, preparing to make another winning run in August.

Jakarta is only the third stop Ko and Shin entered as a team this season but this week saw the 2014 World Champs knock out five former champions (Lee Yong DaeYoo Yeon Seong, Lee Sheng Mu, Cai and Fu) en route to the victory. Their semifinal triumph over compatriots and World No.1s Lee and Yoo was also a remake of the 2014 World Championships final.
