Zhang and Zhao snapped Ahmad/Natsir’s 19-match win streak in the tournament and avenged their loss to the Indonesians in 2013 and 2014.
In women’s singles, VICTOR Taiwanese player, 2014 Superseries Finals champion Tai Tzu Ying tied her personal record at the Birmingham major, making the semifinals for the second time after 2012. She outlasted World No.2 Wang Shixian in the quarterfinals before falling to eventual winner Marin.
