When 4 became 5 in a row for Tai

2017-04-17

Tai Tzu Ying set up another dream final against the Olympic champion, Carolina Marin from Spain at Singapore Open. This was a repetition of previous weeks final at Malaysia Open.

Tai went into the final preparing for another marathon battle against Marin, but when the game got started things did not turn as expected with the windy conditions in the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Marin seemed to be in a rush to score her points, with the consequence of making easy mistakes while Tai kept her calm and patience to score her points. After the interval in both sets, Tai managed to get the crucial gap with secured her 5th Super Series title in a row with the final score of 21-15 21-15.

During the entire week, Tai seemed to have had the upper hand against her opponents as she clinched the title without dropping any single set during the week.
